Jackpot Saddle Event 2010
TRAIL DUST SADDLE CLUB JACKPOT SADDLE EVENT 2010
Overview: This is the second year of the Trail Dust Saddle Club Jackpot program. This year we will have two jackpot saddle high point winners, a senior rider age 19 and over and junior rider age 18 and under (age is as of first jackpot event)
Series may place down to 5th place if enough funds are raised through entries in the jackpot event throughout the season
Rules:
1. To qualify for the year end jackpot awards you must be a member, and qualify for the regular year end series award.
2. Membership is not required to participate in the jackpot event.
3. Jack pot is a 50/50 –meaning 50% of the pot is paid back to the event winners and 50% supports the year end jackpot awards.
4. Members earning year end points for the Jackpot high point are limited to enter 1 time in the individual and team jackpot event, per rider or nominated horse.
5. Rider must enter in the Jackpot event prior to their run in the individual event of the day.
6. Team events will be the random event of the day and be a combined time of both team members.
7. Teams will have partners chosen from a random draw.
8. Points in the jackpot event will be posted for the first 4 gymkhanas, the final 4 gymkhanas jackpot points standing will be kept secret with winners announced at the end of season awards banquet.
Year End Points:
Points for jackpot high point will be accumulated by each qualified member regardless of age group as follows:
1st=5 points per team member and 2.5 points individual jackpot events
2nd= 4 points per team member and 2 points individual jackpot events
3rd= 3 points per team member and 1.5 points individual jackpot events
4th= 2 points per team member and 1 points individual jackpot events
5th = 1 point per team member and .5 points individual jackpot events
Payout is from 1st -3rd the formula is:
1st- 50%
2nd -30%
3rd-20%
Team Jackpot $ payout is split 50/50 between the winning teams based on the above formula.
Jack Pot Events Selection: After event order is posted and # in the order events are to be run (1st-6th) a random draw from a pot from 1-6 will determine which event will be the individual jackpot event. Riders will roll there time from the regular series event if they are participating into the individual jackpot. Riders must enter the jackpot prior to their run.

1. February - Turn & Burn
2. March – Boot lace
3. April- Bi Wrangle
4. May- Single pole
5. June- Flag Race
6. August – Butterfly Race
7. September- Streaking Poles
8. October- Cow Horse Race
9. November - Sidewinder
